As counselor, I see therapy for adults involving a very individual, ‘person centered’ approach.

“I believe that every person has the internal resources they need for growth & healing, and to find their direction and progress in the therapy process.”

I support the client on their path to success, providing empathy, acceptance for who they are and where they are, while offering a non-judgmental orientation. I encourage the client with the freedom to explore thoughts, feelings, and life experiences in our time together.

I have training and experience in Trauma-Informed Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Play Therapy as well as many other modalities. I treat Anxiety and Depression with both children and adults. I have specialization in working with the needs of college-aged populations.

I have worked with foster and adopted children, adolescents and their families, and home based therapy with infants, adolescents, and families. I have been trained in Infant Mental Health which includes families with infants, working together on bonding, attachment, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Therapy with children will result not only in work with the child, but also continued work with and support of the parents as well. It is always imperative to gather as much information about the child in every day settings including school, daycare, etc. to understand what challenges they may face and how best to accommodate their therapy process.

During the counseling process I use empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard— along with my clinical skills and training, to discuss appropriate techniques and ways to work with problems and questions that may arise during sessions. I believe that every client is unique and has the ability and skills to create their own path during therapy. The hope during our sessions would be that each client will develop a greater sense of Self and will come to their own realization of how attitudes, feelings, and behaviors can have an effect on their life.

To help you understand and realize your full potential is my goal as your therapist.

“I look forward to meeting you, and walking with you through your therapy journey.”

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.”
